Mother Earth’s Lugol's Iodine Formula

Elemental iodine and potassium iodine with fulvic acid for better absorption

This vital trace mineral is involved in immunity, metabolism, energy production, fetal and early childhood cognitive development, and hormone production. It is also required for the conversion of carcinogenic estrogen and progesterone hormone metabolites, heavy metal detoxification, and so much more.

But when you don’t get enough or the right types of Iodine, it can wreak havoc in just about every aspect of your health.

  • Contains both essential forms: Elemental Iodine & Potassium Iodide
  • Extensively researched blend of iodine and iodide
  • With fulvic acid to enhance absorption (only in liquid option)
  • Powerful antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiparasitic properties
  • The most trusted iodine on the market

Dr. Lugol's Pioneering Discovery Uncovered an Overlooked and Undiagnosed Deficiency

Iodine is essential for life. You need it for proper immune function. Your metabolism and energy production depends on it.

During pregnancy, it’s vital for fetal and early childhood cognitive development, and hormone production. In fact, studies confirm that iodine status in pregnancy is associated with child IQ scores.2

And The World Health Organization says that in adulthood, Iodine-deficient people may forfeit as many as 15 IQ points.3

It is also required for the conversion of carcinogenic estrogen and progesterone hormone metabolites, heavy metal detoxification, and so much more.

In fact, it’s on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines.

Iodine is so important to overall health and wellbeing that the late Dr. Lugol recommended that everyone take an Iodine supplement daily...

Pregnancy

Because the body cannot create iodine on its own.

This means we need to get it from outside sources.

Unfortunately new research based on clinical findings and national studies by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention1 (CDC) suggests:

Over 90% of the U.S. Population is Iodine Deficient…

…And Up To 74% Are Severely Deficient!

You may be wondering... don’t we get enough iodine from Salt?

Well, Iodized Salt is the only kind of salt that provides Iodine.

Yet it ONLY provides roughly 150 micrograms (mcg) of only elemental iodine alone.

Which is only one of the essential forms your body needs.

The daily recommended amount of Iodized Salt, to prevent goiter, is just ½ a teaspoon, and some Iodine is lost when exposed to air, moisture and heat... like when we add it to food.

In addition, the American Heart Association has been telling everyone for years to reduce sodium. As a result, many people steer clear of salt.

Even if you choose to use iodized salt, many salt options do not include essential Elemental Iodine and Potassium Iodide for optimal health (you need both!).

According to the FDA, processed foods almost never contain iodized salt because it’s more expensive than standard table salt.

So unfortunately, many Americans are NOT getting the Iodine their body needs.

And getting enough Iodine in your diet if you’re a vegetarian, vegan, or pregnant is much more difficult.

To make matters worse…

Iodine Blockers Keep You From Getting What You Need

Every day you’re exposed to environmental conditions that interfere with your ability to absorb and utilize Iodine.

water-health
  • Nearly 75% of American households use fluoridated water.
  • Chlorine isn't just used in swimming pools; it is often in drinking water.
  • Overexposure to bromine, found in nearly all electronics including cords, cables, buttons, plastic covers, couches, mattresses, carpets, insulation, and paint.

All reduce the ability to absorb and utilize Iodine in the body.

When we get enough Iodine through diet or supplementation, we produce adequate thyroid hormones.

fatman

The thyroid uses iodine to make hormones.

Some of these hormones repair damaged cells and support a healthy metabolism.

Metabolism is how the body turns food into energy.

When our thyroids do not produce enough of these hormones, our metabolism slows and our bodies begin storing more calories as fat.

70-80% of the body’s iodine is stored in the thyroid
with at least 5,000 mcg being used each day just to produce thyroid hormones.

This is over 33 times more than would you could ever get from Iodized salt, which only provides 150 mcg (micro grams) of one form of iodine.

Without enough iodine, your thyroid gland is forced to work harder.

It can become swollen or enlarged (resulting in a condition called goiter).

You are also at increased risk of Graves' disease, an immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones.

Outside of energy and metabolism, our bodies depend on thyroid hormones to do many things including:

hypothyroidism
  • Keep heart rate even
  • Supporting good reproductive health
  • Maintaining muscle strength and function)
  • Assisting in delivering oxygen to all organs and tissues through healthy circulation
  • Regulating body temperature
  • Promoting skin healing and moisture
  • Keeping hair follicles healthy and active (preventing hair loss and encouraging strong, shiny healthy hair)

But When You Don’t Get Enough Iodine it Puts You at Risk for Many Health Problems:

When left untreated, an iodine deficiency can lead to severe hypothyroidism.

Complications may include:

  • Heart disease and related disorders, such as an enlarged heart and heart failure
  • Mental health issues such as depression and cognitive impairment
  • Damage to the body’s peripheral nerves, known as peripheral neuropathy
  • Impaired ovulation, which may cause infertility in women
